For road use they are fine, on track they should be fine. Just depends on how hard you drive and brake hard?

They are better than the standard stuff, but i'm not overly impressed with mine on track.

BUT, they are cheap and as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for

Well, have you fitted decent pads to the standard setup and got them to the point were they wont work?

If all you are doing is pottering around town and blasting up the bypass then the standard brakes will suffice, just spend some proper money on pads.

my R isnt on the road yet. but i had a almera gti which have the same set up as the R and the brakes were crap on that! even with good pads and s/steel lines. just wana get some better brakes than standard but dont know what to go for. i thought the willwood set up looked good at a good price. dont know what like tho.

i've had both the 285mm with solid discs and now have the 310mm 2 piece, both great kits and in my opinion by the time you mess around with evo stuff you might as well get yourself a wilwood kit.

save up some more and get K-Sports!
Interesting, I know the K-Sports perform well but you'll need spacers so its a alot of hassle for very little extra performance (on the road), Id go with a set of AP's at that price.

I have Wilwoods on mine, 330mm 2 peice jobs and they are more than sufficient for the road, might now be the best on the market but considering the price and how much of an upgrade they are versus stock brakes then its definately worth it.

if you do get wilwoods get the ones with dust seals on the pistons, i had the calipers without them on my nova and was constantly have to strip them down and clean the pistons, otherwise they kept sticking after hard braking.

I've got no spacers on my k-sport kit and its no hassle whatsoever, not sure where you get that information from?

If anyone ever gets K-sport brakes, try to order the 6 pot unit rather than an 8 pot unit as they are much more bulky that the 6 pots and pad size isn't much more.
