took a car up to eds yesterday to be mapped (lloyds old pearl car), we bought it as a non runner then sorted what needed doing to get running again
it made an astonishing 476.8bhp at 1.5 bar and thats with stock ignition, coil, leads, fpr and bcr8es plugs. cars already been prov sold so decided to stop there and call it a day

been told that this is now a new proven record for a gtir on dyno dynamics rollers : )
if i had fitted larger injectors in place of the 750cc she may well have made over 500bhp.

took the car off the lowloader today to lock it back up but gave it a run round the block first...........all i can say is wow!!! ive driven a lot of big bhp pulsars and other cars but nothing comes close to this animal....its that fast its dangerous lol

well done ed if i wore a hat i would take it off to you, great bit of mapping on both my car and now this one

I thought it was 1.5 bar! was funny seeing this on the dyno, me and bob just kept looking at the screen laughing! at 1.2 bar it made 440bhp.

It starts making positive boost very early in the rev range too.

sorry yes 1.5bar, and think the figure at 1.2 was 446bhp

And at 0.9 bar it made over 400............. very very capable car,i wonder what it could have made with bigger injectors?

too fast for road use as is, its one of them cars that demands respect especially in the wet or it could easily all end in tears lol

True, What people forget is that kind of power is a (high) 10 second quatermile fast car (Faster than all supercars over a quater mile) or with the right gearing and space a nigh on 200mph car, scary thought that especially as its a 20 year old sardine can!!!!

Hhaha you guys. Yeah that car was cool. Shows that its the right mods in the right place makes the right power... Another + for standard ECU remapping too :)

The new speed limiter works edd.......... until the alternator belt comes off............ the joy of the gtir.

was mapped with nisstune pat.

a few changes were made but overall its exactly the same as what lloyd had it built too.
when you see him tell him the car is alive and well (think he thought we were going to strip it), was worth more in bits but couldnt do that to a car such as this, far too many good cars being torn apart now.

i just need to put it on uk plates, tax, mot it plus give it an oil change then its ready for its new owner

i would love to see it go at the pod
the last time it was their it done 14.2 [ i think ] but the boost pipe came off lol wonder what it would do now high 10s / low 11s maybe

im not really into drag racing pat but thats deffo a 10 second car with a good launch.
i would always be worried about the box though with that kind of power, not worth the risk imo

rob made 517.4 on extreme performance dastek dyno, trouble is comparing differant dyno's is like comparing apples to oranges............which is bloody annoying.

One of my bike's (years ago) made 132 on a dynojet and 1 day later made 154 on a fuchs........huge differance
