Right, the bottom end needs attention, and to put things simply, I don't want to work on the car because i've spent too much money on it and I simply can't justify spending another penny.

Compression is fine on all cylinders, oil catch tank is also bone dry. Suspected crank journal at fault due to low oil pressure, which was fixed.

The engine spec wasn't shy, it had alot of work done to it, and could be fixed for not alot.

Ported head

I had the clocks proffesionally converted to mph and the mileage correctly adjustaed, receipt to prove.

Now, I have receipts for thousands on this car, in excess of £10k, not including the parts I paid cash for

The car also has MOT till April next year and Tax to the same date.

There may be a few parts i've missed off the engine spec, but i'm sure you get the jist.

Ideally i'd want £3.5 for the car as is, otherwise i'll take the engine out and repair it at a later date, which I don't want to do.

I also have another complete standard engine that i'll chuck in with it, clyinder 4 piston let go.

Thats a hell of a spec for 3.5k!!!!!!!! wish I had the cash.....then I could have two!!!!!!

It is, I was going to ask more, but I want rid of it as i've got 3 cars now and the Escort RS I bought blew its box to peices on Saturday, so that's sitting on the drive in bits until I get the time on Saturday to fix it, then that's going up for sale too.

Even if the car was to be broken, someone would make alot of money out of it. I've just had enough of working on it now, and it's going to sit on my driveway for months because I have literally no motivation to take the engine out and get the crank reground and put new journals in.

what sort of power figures was the motor making and would you considering selling the motor seperately? i already have an 'ir.

I'm not breaking the car, it's going as a complete package. It made 319bhp on EA's rollers due to the spark being blown out at 5.8k rpm, and the cams don't kick in until 5k rpm. I managed to fix it breifly, it's well over 400bhp at 1.7 bar.

no i wouldnt break it either adam,
its far too good for that matey, and its a steal for what you want, just needs someone fresh, to take it off you, and spend not that much to put it right.
id imagine they would have to vote tory, to buy it, with the blue everywhere:lol: 8)

Lol. Dave, funnily, after buying this Dagenham Dustbin Escort RS the other week (always fancied one, mind) i'm contemplating fixing it:lol:. Fecking Ford is the biggest turd i've driven, it's mint though.

Ok, I MIGHT break the car, but I want all the big main parts/performance bits to have a deposit left on them. I don't want any dreamers wanting parts they can't afford.

I'd rather sell the turbo with the elbow and downpipe, and i'd want both engines to go together as the crank may need replacing on the one in the car.

Take note of the capital letters on MIGHT, as i'm still undecided, but people keep asking me for parts. List what you want and i'll give you a price.

Dave, mate, in all honesty, i'd rather not break the car. It was solid as a rock, and still is. I drove it a few weeks ago to see how bad the engine was and I forgot how tight everything was, not to mention the tree trunk leg you require for the clutch. And I used it as a daily driver for 5 months like that:lol:

Just to let you know, the Teins are the Superstreet version.

I know what ya mean, i'm skin flint. It's all because i'm juggling between three cars, and my daily runners exhaust fell clean off at the weekend, while I was driving it:lol:. All the nuts and bolts are like a clotted mess of rust, so Kwik fit is left to deal with that (wannabe mechanics).

At least 95 ron went down last week:-D

i would be interested in both daveys and your car adam, i would then morf the two together to make an awsome pulsar for track. just aint got cash at the min, instead i have a huge spec evo which im thinkin bout breakin to fund a new project. u wouldnt be interested in payment with evo parts would u lol.

lol, i was actually intending on building a quick sorted track pulsar, but i understand why u would say that lol. majors car i did use for about 3 months before i broke it, and it aint dead i sold the car as a complete rolling shell after takin the trick bits of, so its still out there, just not such a high spec any more lol. at the min im prob just gonna stick with the evo and use it as a track car for a bit, after owning evo, scoob ra and pulsar i def would say the evo was the best for track use.

After thinking through from last week.... I'm going to leave the car as is until the end of the week, then i'm going to tear the engine out and repair it. It'll be up for sale again soon, but running, and for alot more. Last chance to get this car for the advertised price...
