forgive my ignorance but what is the difference betwen a standard actuator and an uprated one is it just a stiffer diaphragm/spring.

what difference will it make to the turbo if any.i have a standard actuator on a new hybrid turbo. would it be worth upgrading it at all while i have my turbo off to fit a tubular manifold. :?:

Yes it has a stiffer spring and this will make ur turbo hold the boost better.
If u have the turbo off then i would deffinatly do it. Get an uprated one with a 15 psi spring.

its been running with a standard actuator so i might just buy a brand new standard actuator so i know its alright 8)

Just get a -34 actuator (15psi) that they normally fit to cossies and rst's etc there the same so don't get ripped off with jap part prices

also, most uprated actuators are adjustable by altering the length of the arm so that you can pre-load the wastegate as well.
