any idea what you need to adjust when your reaching the set boost but then it drops off?
got mine set to 1.1bar, duty 63%. it hits 1.1bar and then drops off to 0.9/1.0bar

cheers

also ive noticed i havent got the *** replacing the 63% duty yet, so does this mean its not setup properly? ive given it plenty of full throttle runs...

From memory, you need to adjust the duty at the rpm levels that the boost drops off. Get a passenger to monitor the AVC-R and not what rpm the boost level is dropping off at. Then, go into the unit and up the duty at those rpm points by 2% at a time until it holds boost for you !
This is mentioned in the guide I posted up yesterday !

Yep, it's not in 'self learn' mode until you get the stars up. You need to put the car in 4th and do a run then. It could be that 63% duty is too high and you're over shooting. If this is the case, the unit won't switch to 'self learn' mode.
Basically, it's looks to see that the engine is over 85% throttle, with a steady boost level. This is all in the manual !

cheers mate i have been reading the guide, ive just noticed also on the 'car select' menu, it was set to cylinder:4 speed: 8 and arrow pointing up. ive read the 'speed' was supposed to be 2,which ive now changed. what would that have done?

Still waiting on some shims!
Also remember that if you are using a std turbo that it will likely drop off regardless... I personally wouldn't use the same duty across the whole rpm range for normal driving. I generally have it run quite aggressive in the early rpm stage, easing off at higher rpm when its holding full boost...

Also on hard accellerating through the gears you will likely hit less boost on a normal road setup

For the likes of a Drag Racing you will need to run a setting with more duty all the way through. That setup used for normal driving/boosting will cause overboost though.

I put up a post somewhere on how to setup boost and duty on an AVCR.

i will have a play with the duty i think.

but would the above setting make any differnce to anything?? ie speed:8 when it was supposed to be 2?

I think that will only affect the speed read out on the unit !
