Just bought a B&M short shift replica from ebay and have difficulty fitting it!! Has anyone else bought one and had the problem??.....Or is it just me!

When i remove my old gearstick and plate from in the car only 2 of the 4 bolts line up with the B&M.

The original has 4 and my b&m has 4 holes so i thiught they all would be used?

Nah mate mines pukka but still had to file out the center section to get it in :?

Maybe it has 4 holes so it can fit different models ie only 2 will line up on the R and the other 2 on say an Primera.
