When i am going along the motorway i can only do 3000 rpm It jerks and coughs and spluters. :evil:

Done a diagnostics check ok :roll:

New plugs/ leads/ dizzy. :D

Just rebuilt the engine and put it in yesterday and ran out of ideas. :shock:

PLEASE HELP ME. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATFULY ACCEPTED. :D :D :D :D :D

sounds like fuelling, i take it you gapped the plugs correctly? and the leads are on in the right order. if i was you i'd take it to a tuner, just get them to give it the 'once over' shouldnt be too expensive (hopefully)

If it was the maf wouldnt it come up on the fault code? :(

Noticed today when i was messing around with the abs that when i leave the car running i get a load of white smoke out of the exhaust. :cry:

Its not condensation like what you get in the morning. :roll:

History.

1> Just rebuilt the engine and put it in on saturday. Changed the piston rings and main bearing shells and big end shells. Full new gasket set. Hybrid front mount intercooler, oil catch can, new element for the hks air filter, new fuel filter. All new fluids. Thats all i can think of at the moment.

2> Turbo rebuild 12 months ago by a subaru specialist.

3> Oil change every 3000 miles or 3 months.

4> Only been runing .5 bar for the last 12 months

Please help! keep up the good work in giving me ideas to check out.

white smoke could be minor overfuelling , my mates audi s2 did this on idle before, turned out to be duff plugs strangely enough, very odd though

have you put the fuel inlet from the tank and the return on the right way round ?????

im thinking fuel. :roll:

If i put the fuel lines on the wrong way around would the car start? :?

I also think it is down to fuel starvation not over fueling. :D

I will try the fuel lines on the other way around. :roll:

Got a walbro fuel pump to replace the standard one so i will fit that as well. :D

At the moment it is set up as standard .7 before the rebuild it was running .5.

Can only get up to 3000 revs sometimes only 2500.

Yeah try the new fuel pump as the other one could be knackered :? you dont want it melting the pistons because its starved of fuel :wink:

the fuel pump was fine when i did the rebuild but you never know.

make sure that the fuel line from the filter goes on the fuel rail and the return comes from the pipe with the regulator on it.

The fuel lines are on the right way for definate. :D

Im going to try the fuel pump on saturday. :D

Changed the spark plugs for new ones today as well. :)

Changed the lambda sensor today still no joy. :D

Fault check still coming up clear as well. :D

Keep the ideas coming please. :D :D :D

Check your cam timing is right (not a tooth out on the chain for example)
Check your ignition timing is OK
Check your leads are on in the right order (pretty hard to mess up)
Check your rotor arm is ok
Check your fuel filter isn't blocked
Check you don't have any boost leaks (hoses off)
Check your fuel pressure when running if possible (your pump could be dying)
Check your turbo hasn't died (it could do in less than 12months :( )
Do a compression test. :?

Fuel pressure regulator too????

If it is fueling can you lash in a pressure gauge to see what its doing?
