After finally getting a tow eye cover (can you believe it, I was given it by my mechanic who used to own an R ) I find that it doesn't fit  .
The tow eye is too high, only by about 10mm or so, I guess its been bent at some point.
What to do? Was thinking of just sticking a long bar in the tow eye and forcing it back down a bit .
Will I wreck anything, how/whats it connected to at chassis (would check but its dark  ).
Oh, and now that I have a tow eye cover to mock up, I'm soon to be ending the zero supply (and rediculous £££) of tow eye covers with a version of my own....
