boot gets very very warm ...actually bloody hot!

whats the deal with this.....(not my car but another pulsar)

exhuast (still cated) and running a back box (with heat shield)

open the boot, after a normal drive, the floor of the boot is hot and i mean very hot...ie... put your hand on it and it make you go foooook :lol:

the exhuast sounds liek its on its last legs...blowing etc, cat is prob dead anyways with the amount of boost throu it lol (1.4 bar lol)

could it be that the back box is blowing and the EGT is heating up the boot? :?:

The floor of my boot used to get pretty hot too when i still had a backbox :shock: I've got a mongoose now which does away with the backbox so it dosent get so warm anymore

I had that problem with the Zigen5 .I had exhaust leak between the centre pipe and the back box.

Changed it for a goose,now all is well

yer if it had a hole and that vented exhaust gas onto a bit of boot floor metal the heat would spread across.. i would get it checked..
