Boot query with spare wheel

My spare wheel doesnt sit flush in the gap where it should go, meaning the boot carpet is not level. How should the wheel sit?

It's just a space saver wheel, but i can't seem to locate it so it's flat on the boot floor. The boot rises at the back so the wheel is perched on this.

Anyone got a pic of theres? :?

Seems a really stupid query really, maybe my spare wheel is too big?!

yep this is the way it is meant to be and then you just throw on the wheel cover ;-)
