brake discs and calipers

hello there guys and girls,

just a thought as my mates got loads of bits off the new civic type r.

do you reckon i could swap the brakes and calipers and put them onto the r, i could do some diy to get them to fit?????

the type r discs are fairly big, 280mm i think. plus the calipers should be better so stopping power should be good.

i could probably get this lot for nothing so i would like to try it,

what u guys think :?: :?: :?:

If your mate is willing to give you a brake setup off a new civic type r for free, take them and stick 'em on ebay :D

I'm 99.9% sure the discs are no good to you but calipers can be made to fit with a fair amount of work (brackets, spacers, lines etc).

i would much rather get them on my car rather than make money on them.

so what needs to be measured or taken into consideration in order to see if the discs will pop on?

They won't "pop on" as they're 5 stud (Pulsar is 4) for starters. The only disc that I know of that will just "pop on" to a Pulsar hub is a 280mm disc from a Renault Laguna.
