Brake discs

Failed my mot today for my brake discs and I'm ordering some new ones. Got a hi-spec setup, was wondering whats the best style to get, plain, grooved, drilled or grooved/drilled? Cheers.

groved will be fine mate the drilled ones tend to crack

Another random question, if I have 300mm hispec brake discs do I have to order Hispec discs or can I order any brand. Cheers.

To save any problems, it's probably best to stick with the Hispec parts. Good luck mate ! ;-)

I personally find that the standard "uprated" discs are ok and dont suffer from major problems. As already stated generally you tend to get cracking with drilled discs. With the grooved discs you tend to wear the pads faster.
