I have a standard boost set up and was wondering if when i take it to get RR'd, can they up the boost or do i need to fit an adjustable jobber?

Cheers

do a search mate, im sure you can re-route the pipework on the standard boost solenoid to make it produce 1 bar, jeff

p.s ask kieron if its safe to run this boost on standard internals

my internals arnt standard tho mate. I have forge pistons in a Norris Designs re built engine

I will do a search but i get all sorts of results when i ever do them. have to sift through the nope ones first

There is a way of getting 1 bar by bypassing the standard boost solenoid or something

Not sure how its done though :?

easy free boost as hiteq do it... from the actuator to a T piece one side of the T piece goes to the large air intake pipe between the afm and the turbo and the other side of the T piece goes to the inlet manifold,,,, the boost solenoid you run a small piece of pipe from one side to the other.. the pipe that did atach to the manifold should have a small restrictor in it .. make sure you still use the restrictor or you will end up running less boost

So basically do you just run the pipe from that goes from the T piece to the boost solenoid straight onto the intake pipe, and then just link both sides of the boost solenoid together :?:

Thought that was right, but.............................. i was getting 1.3 bar running it this way :?

I thought it was meant to only be 1 bar :?:

ah i see but where is the boost solenoid ?

I am getting it RR'd at Interpro, Bristol mate. Do you know if they are any good?

Interpro are pretty good i think mate. I dont know what they are like with Gti-R's but my mate took his escort cosssie there once and said they were ok

If you look in this pic of my engine bay the boost solenoid is the little gold coloured cylinder on the front of the engine just below the intercooler and to the right of the oil separator
