Car wont rev over 5k rpm

When i put my foot down its fine till i get to 5000rpm and then pops and holds back, i can hear air sucking too! :?

Any idears :?:

Check all your boost and vacuum hoses are on tight and non are split. Let us know if you find anything.

I had the same problem a few months ago.. Turned out to be that cylinder 1 spark plug well was full of water due to rubbish weather and washing the car lots to keep the salt off it. Changed the plugs and leads and all was well again. May not be the problem but worth a look.

Might be worth checking your plugs if the hoses all check out ok.

The top hose to the intercooler was lose :roll: All sorted now though and back to normal
