Was looking into getting them. But do they make a noticeable Difference? Also did you weigh your car after to see how much weight the car lost?

only difference they will make is your wallet will be lighter, and your car will be easier to steal!

seriously, if your looking to make your car into a track car then buy the fibreglass versions from phil.

half the price.

if its just a road car then you,ll only be buying them for the looks

This has been answered alot of times.

Standard bonnet is about 16.5kg, Turini c/f is 8.5kg, CFX c/f is 6.5kg Phils flat bonnet is 4.5kg (built for lightness not strength)

Standard hatch is 9kg (metal only) fibreglass was about 5kg I think.

(all weighed on my bathroom scales)

Lexan instead of glass saves abit as well, maybe about 10kg all round.

As far as stealing goes, yes I agree but the standard car isn't that hard to take in the first place (like most other cars)

My carbon fibre bonnet made me 500 pounds lighter as I ordered the same one as Karl did and they went bust.By the time I got onto Visa about it it was past the 90 day claim limit.
I really wouldn't bother with doing the boot as its a marginal weight saving and in the wrong part of the car.
