cat temp wire

Does anyone know if the cat temp wire is required for correct operation. Mine is is rusted solid into my de-cat. I was wondering if you didnt have it it would cause errors etc.

No...

...but some people have reported problems if/when it shorts-out.

It's not connected to the ECU; only the gauges (so that the hot dog lights up to tell you the catalytic converter is hot and likely to set something on fire). So it shouldn't cause any problems.

Actually mine wasn't unplugged until recently. - When it snowed the light would sometimes come on... letting me know that I'd got a circuit under the heat shield? :shock:
