changing actuator

hey guys! can anyone help? im changing my actuator as i think its faulty as my car is overboosting. can you tell me if its possible to change when the turbos still on or is it a turbo off job? if it is turbo off is it manifold removal or can i break it at the manifold? anything to consider or any advise please let me know

I do not think you can get access to change actuator without taking the turbo off but hopefully somebody will confirm that because if you do have to take the turbo off, you have to remove it with the manifold.. :shock:

It would be far easier for you to take the turbo off with the manifold. It'll save your knuckles getting absolutley wrecked in a failed attempt removing the actuator with everything bolted in place.

and it's a shit of a job the first time you go to do it especially the nut at the bottom of the manifold ,theres actually 2 of them and one is a right pain to get off...
