to get cellulose paint mixed to a specific code or can anyone get this at trade at all if i gave them the money

Your local paint supplies shop should be able to sort you out. You will have to tell them its for a proper classic or some farm machinery etc as you are not really supposed to be buying it for your motor.

There are a few places online such as http://www.auto-paint.co.uk/carpaint/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=76 but they may not mix it to a colour code newer than a certain age.

cheers for the help people got everything now paint, thinners primer etc just got to continue with the prep now. I see why body shops need the car for so long now either that or i am paying way to much attention to detail lol

Why is metallic cellulose paint so hard to find by the way?

its been a while since I did any resprays but used to get metallic no probs, I take it you also got laquer?

yeh got lacquer i couldnt find anywhere that did metallic cellulose to a certain paint code it had to be a colour from their swatch if i wanted cellulose they all wanted it to be done in 2k

also some people say lacquer cellulose and other peole say dont bother
