clutch help

i have a exedy paddle clutch...
when the cars idling it makes a tapety noise and as soon as i press it it goes away...wat could b problem...do i need a new clutch....

could be a release bearing fault or worst still a tooth missing from a gear in gearbox (had this myself after changing relaase bearing and noise was still there)
how old is clutch :?:
