d2 coilovers creaking

my drivers front coilover is creaking when steering, had a look and its coming from the spring where its turning with the shock and creaking against the top mount.. :?

anyone had this prob?

Yep, they do that. It's because the D2's use a rubber seat for the spring to sit on. This causes the bottom of the spring to bind and not revolve smoothly, when steering.
Mine seemed to do it the most after rain !
Putting grease between the rubber seat and the spring should help.

It could also be that the bottom mount lock ring isn't tight enough. You're supposed to tighten it by knocking it round with a hammer and suitable tool on the lock ring.
