Dakar/standard box mix up! advice???

I was wondering if it was possible to swap the 5th gear from my dakar for a 5th gear from a standard box?i need more top end and a nice motorway gear! i have no idea if it would fit as a straight swap? I(are they the same over all size? and could it be done with the engine and box still in the car?)

Has any done the swap or know of anyone that has. a finger in the right direction would be great. (and not the middle one).

5th gear on the close ratio box is like 4th on the standard box, so you'd end up with quite an rpm drop going from 4th to the new 5th. It'd be similar to going from 3rd to 5th on the standard box. It'd give you more top end, but slow you down abit until you got back upto revs.
It'd probably fit, but I don't know if the selector fork would still be ok for the job or not. Personally I wouldn't do it, do the whole box or nothing.
