Donington park 13th march/oulton park 29th march

I have been itching to get on the track to try out the new mods on the car and the new suspnsion setup so have booked 2 days in march.

The first is donington national circuit(always wanted to do this one) on sunday 13th march £130

The next is my favorite track oulton park full circuit on tuesday 29th march £145
Anyone else fancy either.
as always i will have my mobile workshop with me and an array of spares(just in case) to help out anyone that needs it.

thats what i thought, as on most the other trackday sites its already £220 for oulton and anywhere from £200 to £445 for donington.
going to have to buy a trackday package next year me thinks.

yep were booked up too.
going down on the saturday and coming back on the monday. making a long weekend of it as it is beckys birthday on the sunday.
staying at the paddock hotel next to the track.

funny you should say that. hee hee.
weather was wet to start with but with a nice breeze and the sun coming out the track was ready for the slicks by about 12.

i had no major issues appart from an oil leak which i can only assume is coming from my crank oil seal on the gearbox side. it started as a few drips after 6 lap stints to a dribble of about half a cupfull by the end of the day when i parked up.

car was fantastic though, the mines ecu was a great buy(cheers shroom) and the slicks were the best thing i have ever got. i cant belive how quick you can go round corners.

the day was run well and there wasnt too many dicks going off and stopping the sessions.there was still a couple of prats (in ford escorts) who wouldnt move over and a couple of novices(who nearly had a coming together me being one of them)as they were crawling round some of the corners.

unfortunatly for andy his day didnt end well. in the last blast of the day just as i was about to pull into the pits i saw him come up behind me in a cloud of smoke.
he was blacked flaged and after coming into the pits and parking up some frantic marshalls lifted his bonnet and put out the fire.he had cracked the turbo feed hose and it was spraying the manifold.
i was a bit gutted as i had taken the camera out of the car and the misses had just stopped filming trackside when he went passed so didnt get any footage of it.
i will post up some pics and vids later as i have to go out now and will give some more info on the day

Andy's trying to get his car back from a secure compound in the North West...

No photo's from me as my camera mount failed and was too busy making sure the car was ok.

how come it ended up in a secure compound andy? was the oil feed braided or old oe?

i feel for ya fella, i know that pain all to well. Hopefullt its a quick fix and back on track soon

So you got the gearbox replaced then Andy.... hopefully there'll be no real damage, just a lot of burnt stinky oil on the exhaust.

If you need a hand with anything, I'm sure are a few people who'll volunteer.

it was a oe one.
there will be no vids till friday when i get my new fiber optic broadband as i just tried to load up 1 vid that was 4 mins long and it was going to take 3 hours.
johnsy how did you load your trackday pics up?
when i tried it only let me load 2 of the 4 and they came out like that.

for some reason my cheap-ass fook camera decided it was gonna record in 2 min burst , which was a god send really otherwise id still be loading em up now lol,

i just used photobucket, took about 10-15 min(forever) to load a 2 min clip

sorry about the quality but i am crap with computers and it seems to have gone pants after dowloading it to the computer from the hd camera then uploading it to photo bucket.
