drain plugs!

i looked through the SEARCH and im trying to find out if the transfer and gearbox drain plugs are tightened up hand tight or is there a torque setting for them ??

There is a torque setting but it's not very tight. They are supposed to be sealed with some sort of sealant too.

Gearbox drain 11-14lbft (filler 18-25)
Transfer drain 14-22lbft (filler 13-19)

Use a torque wrench as i twisted my last drain plug

ive also put plumbers tape around the plugs would this be ok ?

I've never put anything on mine and they haven't leaked:whistle:

The manual just shows like a silicone type sealant icon for the threads

YOu would be better off with silicon sealant.
