Dump valve on intake pipe, how far?

Going to relocate my dump valve and get it welded onto the intake pipe on the plenum. Does anybody know how far from the plenum it should be. From what i can remember it shoud be about 6"? :?

It dosent matter does it :? I always thought it was the closer to the plenum the better :?:

But then i havent got a dumpvalve on mine cos they sound gay :lol:

i heard they have to be a set distance but can't remember who told me or what the distance should be - d'oh!!

the dump valve should be put after the intercooler as near as possible to the throttle valves....so the standard position is the best one!!!that is why i hav't removed my dump valve from its stock position...

Standard it comes from the bottom of the plenum on a approx 6" pipe ,I cant imagine that it matters as the whole system is under pressure and all your doing is releaving the pressure.

last time i was a t hiteq there was an r34 with 2* hks ssqv's welded on just after the intercooler behind the bumper so you could see them from the front. looked 8)
