Ecu any ideas what this is?

I took this out a car today which im stripping, any ideas what the black box is?

Can't tell from that. Looks fairly generic. Need to see whats under that black box/thing?

It doesnt look like your normal daughterboard with a few chips

the type of connector used looks like you could unplug it, might be something on the other side?

Buddy club Japan used to do a daughterboard called a 'brack box' - typical Japs having a laugh, but if it is this one its better than the mines ecu

Ok thats just some generic remap, you cant remap that board either as its 'potted' meaning that its been put in a mould and filled with resin to stop anyone altering it. Totally pointless when companies do this.

anyway it may be possible to read the data from them to see whats been done to the ecu.
