ECU Whereabouts?

please excuse my ignorance, but where is the ECU located?

center console under the radio, theres an access panel by your feet.

does the center console have to come out?.can it be accessed from both footwells?thanks

Yes it can be accessed from both footwells, but if it's anything like mine it's wedged in pretty tight with an alarm on top of it. I think the entire tray that holds it can be removed, but I've never tried because I don't need to upset the alarm and find it's permanently immobilised.

there should be a little screw holding the lil bit of plastic in place, un-do both in passenger and drivers footwell, there'll be a lot or wiring i guess, you'll see the ecu in its cradle,undo the 2 screws on either side,and coax it out carefully, loosen the screw holding the big blue ecu plug to the ecu, fit new ecu and re do in reverse order, 5 min job tops

ill get your ecu off to you as soon as iv picked up my standard one and swapped it over
