Erratic idle

My R idles anything between 1200 and 2000rpm depending on how it feels

I'm assuming it's the ICV, but can someone point me to where it's found on the R

Also can it be cleaned or should I simply buy a new one (doubtless for £500 from Nissan)

Mine idles 95% of the time at 1000 but sometimes itll raise and drop between 1000-1250 then upto as high as 1500 on the odd occasion. Like I said 95% of the time the car idles fine.

Hiteq informed me its the Throttle Position Sensor and it needs a new one as it keeps sticking.

what he said. check the boost pipes and induction side between the turbo and maf. if the breather pipes from the rear left of the rocker cover are loose you' ll also get a high idle :wink:
