Exhausts

Im looking at changing the exhaust on the R i've just recently bought, it's only got a 2 1/2" system from turbo back. Im looking at changing it to 3" turbo back. What do you all reccomend? Im thinking Mongoose system from turbo back.

If you are already deaf then go for the goose.Before anyone starts,yes i am very old but,you can hear a goose equipped car coming from miles away and that's another thing that alerts the old bill.

Unless you have,or are intending to go for big power,a 2.5"-3" exhaust is enough.Even at those sizes,the car can get a bit boomy on the motorway.

Why not drop into Powerflow exhausts,they are based in Stirling i think ;-)

lol, my hearing's fine the now :-D Im not sure what system is on the car but its only 2 1/2". Im lookin for an exhaust at least 3". i can get it done custom but will be more expensive, Im just wanting to know if there are any companys that have already fabricated exhausts that i could buy off the shelf.
I've been told that Mongoose exhausts arent too good due to the bends being bent so that makes the pipe smaller?

The Goose system isn't 3" anyway, the tail pipe is 3" but I seem to remember the rest of he system being only 2 1/4" or 2 1/2. So you might have a Goose already :lol:

Janspeed do a complete 3"system from turbo back if they will sell you one or try lionel on here (ninja tunning factory).

Yes, I've got the complete (dump/front pipe & rear section) Janspeed system and think it works very well and so it should for near £800, but I think it's probably one of the nosiest systems available for the Sunny. You could always do what Jim has done and put a transverse box across the back to bring the noise down a bit.

The exhaust is cheaper then that now

there are 2 3" systems left, the down pipes are going to be made by a new company and will start very soon ( info will be out soon)
also you`ll all be happy to know the price will be dropping.

if you want a down pipe id hang on till jan time

I got a complete janspeed 3" i will agree it's good but very noisey
