im in the process of modding my std manifold to accept my gt3076r turbo setup. i have so far removed the old t28 flange and grinded the manifold so that the new t3 flange will sit at an angle so as to move the turbo away from the gearbox. i have also ported and polished the manifold aswell as drilling a 1 1/2 hole in the bump at the top for the external wg to come off. new t3 flange is tacked on and is ready to be welded now, then just gotta weld a flange for the wg on. so nearly there lol.
right basically i just wanna know firstly i have a 38mm wastegate which has xs power written on the top, i am intending to run the turbo at 1bar low boost and 1.6-1.8 high boost. will i need to get a wastegate spring suited to my boost application as the one in there is prob some lame 0.6bar spring or summin. also is this wastegate up to the job. what spring will i need to suit my 1bar to 1.8 bar target. im not totally sure on the operation of the external gate so any comments much appriecated.
