Fuel pump flow for 1 Bar

Ive read/heard some r's need the pump changed yet some are ok (but 1 bar is the absolute limit). Does anyone know what cc/min flow a pump needs for decat, exh, filter & 1 bar so I can checkif mine will be safe enough and save on spending up until I have to? Even an idea of cc/min for 280 - 300bhp in any car would do. Cheers

Another urban myth, you don't HAVE to chage your fuel pump for an uprated one to cope with 1 bar/280bhp. Plenty of cars run fine without one. However, the standard pump will be between 10 and 14 years old and have sucked up a lot of crap in that time, so for the sake of a £4k rebuild, £80 on an uprated Walbro pump is not too much for piece of mind.
