Fuel tank vent pipe

Hi Everyone

Do I need to run the vent pipe all the way to the front of the car? The original one is in poor condition but do I really need to run a new one all the way to the front?

Not really. - IIRC it goes to the front so that it can get scrubbed by that carbon canister... then vents back under the body.

ah, I dont think I have ever had a carbon canister, So can I just vent under the car?

Yes as long as the original check valve is on the fuel tank still.
