gear box rebuilds

wheres the best place to get a gearbox rebuild ?? can any recon gearbox place do them ?? :?
what is needed when you have this done do you have the hole box rebuilt or can they just do the part thats broken ??
what sourt of price will i be looking at for this job ??

There's only one man for the job and that's burnie at the gearboxman,
He's rebuilt quite a few member's gearbox's now .

He did my quaiffe rebuild for £670 deliverd but that was the tranx box as well, And yes you can have just the broken bit's replaced if that's what you want .

If ur going for a standard rebuild and wish to increase ur power save urself money in the long run and get the internals shotpeened and possibly cryo'd if it help. May be round £1000 to do but just think if a rebuild costs £600ish u dont want to have another one of those!
