Gearbox and diff oils

can anyone advise on what oils to use for gearbox and diff oil

i use redline 75w/90 in my transmission

Make sure it's for a synchromesh gearbox. - I'm sure someone (probably Danny) was saying that's a really common cause of problems; people think the gearbox is knackered, but it's just got the wrong oil so the synchros aren't turning effectively.

Problem is that I can't remember whether it's "hypoid" or "stanapoid" that's the right one.

Castrol Syntrax 75W-90, for gearbox, transfer and rear diff.

Syntrax is a hypoid oil. I think the other kind must be for limited-slip differentials.
