gearbox casing

i was looking at my spare gearbox casing today just thinking of ways to strengthening it and i noticed a series of cracks already in the mould i guess we have no chance if this is how all the casings are.

I think mine's similar (smaller cracks) from what I've seen on the outside underneath it.
Poor quality castings most likely.
