gearbox & transfer box question

hi gtir peeps,does the tranfer box share the same oil as the gearbox?,also does anyone have any pics of the filling & draining points please,thanks in advance .pics of the rear diff drain points etc would also be cool thanks.

Nope both are seperate mate.

not sure on drain positions but the transfer box takes 1.8l and gearbox 4.2l.

A 3/8th and 1/2" drive sockets with extension and u/j are all you need to drain and fill the gearbox and transfer, so get underneath and check for square holes to undo for the drains and look near the drivers side driveshaft fro the transfer filler and front face of the gearbox for it's filler. Transfer uses 1.3L btw

Make sure you can get the filler out before you undo the drain as a couple of people have had problems undoing them.

1.3 i put 1.8l in and have had no problems at all.

How did you have it jacked up? I get to around 1.3 then it starts spilling out. :?

thanks guys,just done the rear diff saturday bloody filler plugs were welded in i think,lol ,gona trythe transfer bow nextsat,thanks for there replys.
