Greddy Profec B Spec II

Mr International Postman has just dropped of my new Profec B.

Couple of questions...

1. Where to mount the solenoid? Manual says somewhere cool, dry and vibration free (r they having a laff - where do you find like that in an 'R engine bay?). I was thinking of using the standard solenoid mount point - but I think it'll get pretty hot there.

2. Thinking of removing restrictor in pipe from Plenum to I/C frame so the base boost is lower. Useful for leaving the car with tyre changing monkeys etc.. :) Good Idea?

3. Any ideas of a startiong point for the settings to start off with? I know I'll have to messaround to get ti right - but a ball-park point would be useful!!

:D I usually fit them under the air filter,as there is a constant supply of air moving over it,there by keeping it cool :!: :D

mounting under the air filter sounds good - but doesn;t that lengthen the pipe run to the actuator?

:D Not really mate as its keeping it to a minimum.Otherwise you would have to fit it virtually on the engine :!: Which would mean 'high'heat and 'vibration' :!: According to the instructions it say's keep it 'minimal'(within 3feet of the actuator and the plenum) :!: If i remember correctly :?

Shaun fitted mine on Sunday and it has turned my car into an angery beast  (which is all good)

I have mine set up for 1 bar of boost and it holds it perfect all the way to the redline 8)

Start 70
Set 30
Gain 10 and this gives me a perfect 14.6psi 8)

Or you can have Set on 35 and it will give you a perfect 16psi, but remember I am running a MD214 Roller Bearing turbo so you may have to adjust these figures a little if you are only running the standard turbo 8)

Hope this helps you :)

Cheers.

I'll start of there and see what I get. I'm aiming for 1 bar so that should be good.
