GTIR Intercooler Dimensions

Hi, Just about to get my first GTIR. After all the stories i've heard regarding heat soak with the standard intercooler(especially cos i live in australia, dam the 35degree summer days, not complaining though, cos the chicks wear next to nothing),

I was wondering if anybody knew what the largest front mount intercooler that could fit would be????? And the dimensions of it.

Is it worth front mounting the existing intercooler??? or to much trouble. Anyone done it???

what part of australia are u from, i'm in bendigo victoria....

i went through 3 summer with the stock cooler, rigg up a water sprayer ect, i didn't find the heat to be hideous

I live about an hour outside of Sydney. Did you rig the waterspray up from the windscreen washer bottle???

i only put one in last december, and then it was always out of water.

i moved the battery to the boot, and the bought a washer bottle from burson and a hobbs switch (ebay) and set it up like that.

as long as u were moving heatsock wasn't a problem.
