Ok, so my heater blower only works on position 3. So can anyone tell me where the resitor is that controls it. or is it just the heater control unit itsself that controls it?

According to the resistor itself, you can't repair the resistor board so, you'll probably need a new one. The issues seems to be that the solder Nissan uses for the 2 thermal fuses on the board, corrodes away, and you loose continuity over those tracks.

As a quick fix on my one (I lost the first three speeds and it was winter), I cleared out all the old solder from the thermal fuses, exposed some of the bare track and superglued some small piece of solder to restore continuity. If you decide to do this, you should understand that should the fan motor stall, you could have a fire on your hands. Although, I'd be willing to bet that either the glue or solder would melt before you got to that point !
