:der: my mate is having problems with his pulsar just had full service and all of the fluids changed. he has a greedy boost controller lo boost is 8.8 will go to this then drop to 6.6 ??? this is the same with hi boost which is set at 1.15 then wiil drop to 99 and is finding it difficult going up the revs when on boost.could this be the knock sensor help please thanks alot jamie:doh:

i had it at ava rolling road near glasgow he said he could hear knock from the engine he tried to retard the timing but he could still hear knock ??

If youve got a knock, then its shims or bottom end givng up. Or if hes hearing "knock", then its pre ignition and your car wont last too long like that.

If it aint boosting properly, then its down to possible vacuum leaks or a boost hose loose. Although bearing in mind, that when a turbo comes on boost, it does sometimes spike to a high reading, and then settle back down as the revs increase, How much it does that, is dependant on how good the boost controller is.
