my problem is that i cant change the fanspeed (the fan in the car.)

i can only use speed 0 = fan is off
4 = max speed

whats wrong and what should i do to fix it?
is there anyone haveing the same problem?

I think theres a resistor or something that fails so you only get the full fan speed but thats all I know about it

pull the console apart and chech behind it to make sure the connection is ok.

have checked behind it... and it was ok.

where can i find the resistor... to the fan speed?

The resistor should be relatively close to the fan, possibly in the airstream from the fan as it gets hot. Follow the big red positive supply to the fan and you will find it....usually a white ceramic block with wires coming out from it.

On my montego it was mounted on the body of the heater, and a small black plastic square in that case.

Yes that should be the one, easiest way to check is to unplug it and if the fan stops totally that should be it, but just check to make sure the wires from it go to the fan to
