Helped Need ABout My Turbo

Alright folks, car is now in the garage to get most of the work done to it.

My mate went down to have a look for me and he had a look at the turbo, he seems to think it is only a GT2876R rated to 350bhp but the comapny I bought it from stated it was good for 400 bhp.

That is the turbo he thinks it is, it looks like it.

Compreser Stage:

Hsg. A/R - 0.70
Wheel Trim - 48
Model - T04S
Wheel Dia - 2.09/3.00
Comp Flow Lbs - 44

Turbine Stage

Hsg. A/R - 0.64
Wheel Trim - 76
Wheel Dia - 1.85/2.12
Bearing System - 1 Ball Bearing
Cooled by - Water and Oil
Wastegate - Yes

that is the spec for my turbo.

Any help would be great, I just need to know if this thing can spool more than 350 horses.

Well the turbo from the link you put up shows that its a GT2876... I think it was the same as the GT2540...

The compressor will flow a max lb/min for 450bhp @ 1.6bar...

Now with the small GT25/28 turbine side you will be lucky to take full advantage of such a large comressor IMO...

I think 400 - 430bhp is a more realistic goal @ 1.6bar...

The link shows the turbo my mate thinks I have got (he is only going by looks), but the spec i gave is for my turbo.

So I can deff make more than 350bhp from it?

Not being stupid but not had time to think about it :lol:

Rishi - The reason the link to that turbo is there is beacuse he went onto the Garret website and put in the code that was on the turbo and that is the turbo that it brought up.

Unless the internals have been changed....but this is starting to worry me due to the fact it isn't for performance use :cry: :?
