gona have a bash at fitting it this afternoon, can someone please tell me or point me to somewhere where i can find out the relevant wires on the gtir ecu to connect into please

yeh got that, but how do i know which wires are the correct ones on the gtir ecu??

I have one in mine and I have the wireing with the instructions in english at home so if u want a copy I can send this / scan this to u over w.end if u want mate?

if anyone can help with the wiring, ideally stating the positions/colours of the wires in the ecu, that'd be great
im confused (doesnt take much :? ) with the wiring manual on here, cause on there it looks like the ecu has 3 sections, whereas it has 4 sections (ive got the car stripped as we speak) :shock:

right then, we need locations/colours for ;
(wires coming from the safr to the ecu)
yellow (to ecu pressure sensor) = ?
white (from ecu pressure sensor) = ?
red (12v ignition) = ?
black (ground) = ?
brown (rpm signal) = ?
orange (throttle postion sensor) = ?

ive just had a quick look at the diagrams,
ive got :
yellow (to ecu pressure sensor) = 16
white (from ecu pressure sensor) = 17
red (12v ignition) = 34
black (ground) = 48
brown (rpm signal) = 3
orange (throttle postion sensor) = 37
dont know if these are right or if there tomorrow nights winning numbers
can somebody confirm

right then, done thanks to carl for all your help here goes....
if you use the ecu harness connector terminal layout in the ecu troubleshooting guide, you can confirm the pin no.s which ill refer to below
code - pin no. - description - ecu wire colour - s-afr wire colour
# - 101 - injector signal - w/b - not applic on s-afr
I - 2 - rpm signal - l/b - brown on s-afr
P - 16 - pressure sensor airflow - orange - yellow (on wire going into ecu)
P - 16 - pressure sensor airflow - orange - white (on wire going from ecu)
T - 20 - throttle pos sensor - w - orange on s-afr
S - 32 - speed sensor - y/g - not applic on s-afr
U - 46 - 12v battery - w - not applic on s-afr
B - 47 - 12v ignition - orange - red on s-afr
E - 48 - ecu ground - b - black on s-afr
the orange wire for P is the one which you cut, the other wires are just spliced into.
