i tried cleaning the maf sensor with petrol and a cotton bud...and broke it
:x cost me for the maf(2nd hand, cheers, stu) and a lengthy round trip to pick it up
according to ray on the yahoo technical site you should not have to touch it seeing as its a hot wire and cleans itsself. i aint touched it since and its been fine. the replacement sensor i fitted had been sitting in a shed for a while so took a little while to settle down but after a couple of drives it was ok.
cleaned and oiled my KnN air filter last week cos it was full of bugs and its been fine with that too.
cheers, stu
