You could try pm'ing Ex-Gtir for example. He does clutches by removing the engine, so it would be easy enough for him to swap an engine I'd have thought.

hi mate im in north london, i went to my local garage who have looked after my cars well in the past.....
i bought a pulsar broke it and put the engine in my fwd sunny gti, so all in for breaking a whole pulsar and fitting the engine in the gti they billed me £900 which i think is a wicked price
to break a pulsar to the bear shell and fit the engine, also taking the gti one out, i now have sold most of the pulsar parts so have made my money back time ago
if u in north london pm me and i'll give u the details

Yes, i believe its prolly less hastle than trying to do it in situ (+ you can replace all those perished pipes on the back of the engine with ease while its out)

Yep, he can get the engine out in abit over 2 hours I believe.
Leaving the engine in is alot longer (allegedly)

On the last one i did i had the engine on the floor in about 2 1/2 hrs ;-)

I dont know how people do it by leaving the engine in :der: I wouldnt ever do it, its far easier just to drop the engine ;-)
