update:
i was at powerstation the week before last, first run i got 275bhp after that i got a mixture of results ranging between 240bhp and 250bhp.

no matter how far they advance the timing, it just gets retarded.

my problem:

im trying to find out what can be causing this problem, i have done a fault code check several times after a cold night run and a hot day run. its coming back as 55 - all clear.

does anyone know what component on the gtir has the power to retard the ignition?? :?

i thought it could have been the knock sensor but then it would surely come up as that on the ecu fault code thingy.

anyone have any thought with this new info?

greg we have had this discussion time and time again if your not prepered to help your self by cleaning the flux capasitor to rule that out y shud anyone help u lol

i thought cleaning the quantum leap accelerator coil would be ok :? i'll check the flux capacitor in the morning after marty mcfly pops round.
