i know its clutch related,

its either the release bearing fcked, or the cable or something like that

the bang was more of a "twang" like abit of metal snapping happend as soon as i "released" the clutch

agghhhh

well thanks for that lovely thought mate lol

its the release thats gone i think

its not the gearbox, its the clutch

The clutch release fork hasnt broken has it :?:

You might be able to see if you take that little rubber gaitor from off around it and look down the hole.

Hmmmm
its not the gearbox, its the clutch
Wrong

If it wont come out of gear there must be something wrong with the box unless it'll change gear ok when the engines off?? and if you managed to reverse while in 5th your selectors fooked. Why the clutch pedals stuck to the floor is something different, probably the slave cylinder if you're lucky and if you're not then the release fork or its pivot sphere.

has ya pedal box come away from the bulkhead?? Heard this is quite common on R's without the clutch support bracket. Just a thought mate

sorry meant to say that....

i selected 1st drove up to my drive,

then REVERSE

eased up the clutch then a "Ping" somin snapped, car still in gear

clutch peddle still on the floor, reversed the car up onto the drive

engine off

car didnt come out fo gear was in REVERSE

you cant get the car out of gear, or the clutch peddle up

To get it out of gear, try"rocking" the car backwards and forwards(gently), whilst operating the gearstick.

yep

if anyone remembers, i bled the clutch the other week and the fluid that was in there was cack full of bits and bobs,

clutch was ok but back to how it used to be

looked under clutch peddle, no fluid, looked in engine bay etc, everything seems fine

looked under induction the pipe that runs into the gearbox is covered in fluid, and the "Housing" of the gearbox seems to have a large amount of clutch fluid over it,

lucky ive a shite load of fluid left, and hopefully Rich we can sort this out tomorrow

would explain why it wont go into gear with 0 fluid in the clutch
