From what I have heard, The Power FC for the GTiR is a straight replacment with the original ECU so should be pretty straight forward. (It already has a GTiR Map)

I wouldnt want to remove the knock sensor... but there may be a reason I dont know yet for doing this.

Im about to order a Power FC for myself :)

i have it in now.

i dont have a knock sensor.

as it was fucking up the old computer.

the idle is a bit rough bouncing up and down a little.

i'll list what i have

tomei pistons
tomei head gasket
standard rods (balanced , shot peend etc)
standard turbo
standard airflow meter
power fc boost control kit
cat back exhaust
standard cams

i guess thats about it.

the system is kind of self learning isnt it? with a bit of imput or whatever.

i'm eventually going to take it to a tuner but just was sick of being in safe mode on the standard ecu.

any help at all will be greatful..

like mapping the airflow meter and fuel etc.

as i just had a pretty big cut around 6000rpm.. and wondering what it is.

If i remember rightly the power fc has an idle learning process think it was something like leave the car idling for 10 mins then turn on the heated screen and leave for 10 mins then turn on everything else for 10 mins

The PFC doesn't rely on the knock sensor (only for monitoring purposes) so it will let your car run properly assuming it is the knock sensor that's at fault.

It's simple to fit, uses the existing loom.

yeah i have installed it and used it for a little bit but i stopped after some bad cutouts. i think its best to wait till i have a new fuel pump and money to get it tuned properly.

With the spec you have, I'd recommend you get it set up properly
