...how many pulsars/sunny gtir,s are still on the roads?It would be interesting to find out exactly how rare they are getting (and if we,ll ever get a return on the rarity value!).

think u can apply to dvla and they will tell u numbers etc

There were 4500 Gti-RA's and 500 of the Gti-RB's (rally homologation edition's) produced in total.

ggon are very mis-informed , There were 5 seperate periods of production:
000102 (08/90) - 005769 (04/91) [5667]
020004 (06/91) - 021480 (09/91) [1476]
051003 (10/91) - 053490 (07/92) [2487]
100003 (08/92) - 102340 (07/93) [2337]
150002 (08/93) - 151846 (11/94) [1844]
(these figures have been extracted using the chassis-lookup feature of the Nissan FAST parts system)

The Japanese Club quotes slightly different numbers - but an explanation has not been able to be communicated:
