Is something wrong with my gti-r ?

I bought a rally model gti-r a couple of months ago, it's being dyno'd at 265 bhp, but at 7500 rpm in 5th gear it only does 125mph. It goes like jo fook up to 125 then wont seem to go anymore. Help please ! :x

there is nothing wrong, you just have the close ratio gearbox that tops out at about 130ish

try searching dakar in search and you'll find more info

I had that gearbox too until 3rd gear gave up!
Now I've got a standard gearbox and on acceleration you could really feel the difference :lol:
Was a bit S**T for motorway driving though!

i kno wot ya mean, it seems to rev really high all the time. when it breaks i think i@ll put a standard 1 in.
