Its comes as a very sad day that I have to sell my Nissan GTI-R Pulsar/Sunny, owned since January 2002 and I have had many a happy time blasting off more expensive machines! Just put 6 months tax on it on the 1st September, after being SORN since March 07 and stored in a dry garage, the MOT runs out in Jan 08, its never failed and always fly’s through. Comes with lots of history.
Am selling I just do not have the time to drive (hence the SORN) or tinker with it as I have set up a new business and that takes up all my time and money. It needs quite a few bits doing to it to make it mint and sorted, see below for details.
Low reserve of only £1500!
Description
Nissan Pulsar GTIR imported and registered 1999, 1992 model
Tax 02/08 MOT 01/08
Rebuilt Norris Designs engine in 2001 with forged pistons, HKS gasket, Crank polish grind and cylinder rebore etc
Japanese racing ECU (T Force) (Was told this is behind the dash, but have never looked!)
Quaife up rated gearbox 2004 with Helix Organic clutch
Pace up rated radiator bought 10/06 (£400) (to go with front mounted IC)
Front Mount Intercooler with very short run! (less lag)
Mocol 13 row oil cooler
HKS Induction kit
HKS Iridium spark plugs
HKS Exhaust (recent front section but slight hole in back box)
Dump Valve
Hi Spec 310mm brake upgrade with new rotors and Mintex pads bought 11/06 (£160)
Goodridge braded brake hoses
Norris Designs 40mm lowering springs
Apexi AVCR boost controller (old style)
Lumination air/fuel flow meter
Bride racing seats
Raceline 16" Anthracite wheels (not perfect but ok)
Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres 215/40/16 (recent fronts)
Sony cd player
10 Disk CD player
800 watt Amp and base box in boot
Clifford concept 300 alarm with spare fob and key
Momo steering wheel
Vielside gear knob
Front strut brace
Bodywork
Basically its seen better days as there are nicks, dents and rust has started to get the better of it, pics are of drivers side rear and you can see drivers side front is starting to bubble as has the rear tailgate under the spoiler, needs some tlc. The bonnet sticks up a bit because of the front mount IC not sitting right its also not brilliant but not really bad as its also chipped and starting to rust.
I know its got a "1.2" badge on the back, that’s part of the fun!
Engine
Still sound and pulls like a train, running 1.2bar and it goes like stink. Turbo is a little tired and may need to be replaced as it spits oil out into engine bay sometimes when you really boot it, although there is no smoke out the exhaust when you boot it apart from the normal turbo puff. I have been driving it today and I remembered why I have never sold it, its great fun!
Gearbox
As mentioned its a Quaife unit rebuilt in 2004 by specialists CTS in Markyate Hertfordshire, hubs and baulk rings all being replaced. However, if you are too energetic you can catch the gears coming down, 2nd and 3rd I think, so the synchros may need fixing. Saying this I am used to it and I know when and how to not crunch the gears coming down and it doesn’t bother me. Going up it is fine. I would like to add its never been launched at Santa Pod and the like since I have had it and only one track day at Trax 2006 on this new gearbox.
Also there is a slight rumbling, maybe wheel bearing gone?
Brakes
Although they are new disks and pads you will have to pump the pedal lightly to get full firmness, am told they need bleeding, but I am not a mechanic so I am just making you aware of this issue. I don’t notice it generally.
Electrics
This car has a mind of its own, sometimes the drivers window works other times it doesn’t and the passenger side never Also when you put the alarm on it tells you a door is open, three bleeps, even though there is not. The ABS light it also on, most of the time, sometimes it goes out. The owners club says it might be a sensor. The CD player needs connecting back up. The boost gauge has packed up, not the Apexi the one on the dash, although I have noticed a slight leak from the pipe that connects into the back to give pressure has a slight air leak, it runs through the car and is corroded. Quick fix maybe?
Overview
I have been very honest, maybe too honest, as I do not want someone to turn around and not buy the car. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles with fully synthetic oil using genuine Nissan oil filter and fuel filter, and I have only put Shell Optimax, or Vthing whatever its called now, into the tank as did the previous owners. Its getting on a bit but will still give you a fright, I think it will need new plugs to give it that extra kick and maybe a tune up.
I have a whole file of receipts for the work, engine rebuild, gearbox, radiator, brakes etc dating back to 2001 including a rolling road printout for approx 300bhp and old MOT's. This is a genuine car and you will not get any surprises, it also got a genuine bhp figure and not a made up one. I have 100% feedback so bid with confidence,
If you want Godzooky then please make a bid and let her live again.
Winning bidder collects within 7 days and I require a £100 deposit within that time if we agree a later collection time, non paying bidders will be pursued for costs. Bidders with zero (new Ebayers) or less than 90% positive feedback please email me your home phone number before bidding. If you do not I will remove your bid and ban you.
Happy bidding people
